Someone I know once observed that there is a three point message commonly given in churches today.
"God is good. You are bad. And you need to try harder?"
Unfortunately I think he is right.

- I came to Christ in 1965..I was deeply impacted by the witness and teaching of John Wimber. John was my mentor from that time until July of 1997 and I benefited greatly from this. I have had lots and lots of highs and some severe and serious lows; the church has crushed me like a bug and embraced me and brought healing to me as well. It has been quite a ride. I try in these blogs to reflect on all of this in one way or another.
